Events in Menominee, Michigan

Menominee is a lakeshore community on the western side of Lake Michigan. The city sits on the northeastern Wisconsin border and is a destination for hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping and other outdoor activities. Menominee's downtown features locally owned shops and antique stores. The city is somewhat isolated, so not many large events occur there. Most events are intended to bring residents together for recreation and entertainment.
  1. Menominee Waterfront Festival

    • The Menominee Waterfront Festival has been an annual event since 1982. The festival includes concerts at the city's bandshell, parades, food booths, children's activities, a food drive, 5K and 10K runs, a 5K walk, and large fireworks display. The main events follow a waterfront theme, with activities like windsurfing, kayak demonstrations, a sailboat race and the blessing of the watercraft. Some events at the Menominee Waterfront Festival may vary from year to year. The festival attracts visitors from the region surrounding Menominee each year in the beginning of August.

    Concerts in the Park

    • Free concerts are held at the Menominee Bandshell several Thursdays throughout the summer. The dates and performers vary from year to year. Concerts in the Park provides a performance venue for local bands and singers and free entertainment for residents.
