Ypsilanti's farmers' market operates from May through the end of October every Tuesday. The market is located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Hamilton Street and is open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to fruits and vegetables, the market offers plants, flowers, crafts and bakery items.
The Crossroads Summer Festival hosts musical acts on Friday nights from June through August. The festival's musical selection includes many blues, rock and soul acts, although some acoustic performers are featured as well. Performances take place on Washington Street and at the Library during the Folk Roots Festival night in June. Downtown Ypsilanti has three free public parking lots.

Held in September, at Dawn Farm, the jamboree features live music, games, food, crafts and the opportunity to see what life is like on the farm. The farm sells items from its gift shop, as well as farm grown produce and flowers. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free. The farm is a residential recovery community.

This annual festival is held right before Halloween. The festival features games, prizes and candy for children. The event collects canned goods for the Secretary of State Harvest Gathering. The festival is located in the Ypsilanti District Library Park from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels organization sponsors a tour of homes decorated for Christmas. All proceeds support Meals on Wheels.

Held in August, this race features teams pushing a rider in a bed. The race runs along Pearl Street from North Huron intersection to North Washington. Teams are judged on fastest times, costumes and bed decorations. Haab's Restaurant sponsors the event.
