If you have just a weekend in the winter, consider skiing Red Lodge Mountain Resort. More than 1600 skiable acres with 250 inches of snow a year, Red Lodge has 65 trails and groomed slopes. There are seven lifts available and the season runs from Thanksgiving to mid-April. Adult lift tickets as of 2010 cost $49 a day or six day "anytime" tickets cost $235, which will enable you to spend more than just one weekend skiing.
