Little ones can play and learn all day at the San Antonio Children's Museum, which has three floors of hands-on exhibits for children up to 10 years of age. Exhibit highlights include Bubble Ranch, where kids can create gigantic bubbles, and Science City, packed with science-themed activities and several pint-sized city shops and venues for imaginative play. The museum also features Tot Spot, a soft toy area just for infants and toddlers ages 3 and under. Nearby, the Witte Museum also offers interactive exhibits that explore natural history and science. The H-E-B Body Adventure exhibit is a four-floor interactive play and learning area for children of all ages, which includes a giant fruit playground, a vegetable garden, and touch-screen computer systems that teach kids how the body works. Other attractions include an outdoor waterworks station and a cool science-themed treehouse.
Your kids can expend all their energy at Amazing Jump, San Antonio's gigantic indoor trampoline park. The colorful facility has 10 huge trampolines, a few smaller ones for younger children and several inflatable bouncy houses and slides. Kids can participate in trampoline versions of basketball and dodge ball. Amazing Jump also has an arcade, pool tables and a pizzeria. Just Add Children is an indoor playground and party center packed with various play spaces for kids to play and stretch their imagination. Activity areas include playhouses, castles, a veterinary clinic and a pirate ship. Kids can dress up in costumes, pretend to build homes and play games with other kids. There's also a giant moon bounce with two slides, a glow-in-the-dark dancing and game room and a kid-sized basketball court.
For fun in the sun, take the kids to Breckenridge Park in downtown San Antonio, a 343-acre outdoor oasis for families. The park's expansive playground area features a large climbing structure, plenty of swings and slides. There are also large areas of open green space for kids to just run around and play in. The park is also home to the Japanese Sunken Gardens and the San Antonio Zoo. Phil Hardberger Park in north San Antonio doubles as a conservatory, filled with trees and plants native to Texas. Bring your bikes for a family ride along one of the many hiking trails. Kids can also enjoy the two large playgrounds, a carousel and children's fitness areas. You can bring the family dog as well, as the park has two dog parks.
Big thrills and entertainment await your kids at San Antonio's Six Flags Fiesta. Ideal for older kids who love thrill rides, the park has seven roller coasters, a separate water park with high-speed water slides and nightly firework shows in the summer. Six Flags Fiesta also offers pint-sized fun for younger children, including a kiddie roller coaster, mini water slides and a multi-level water play treehouse. Sea World San Antonio has something for everyone, from impressive whale and dolphin shows to roller coasters and exciting river raft rides. There's also the Sesame Street-themed Bay of Play area for young children, which includes kiddie rides, jungle gyms and splash pads. Next door to the main park is Aquatica, SeaWorld's water park, which features an underwater raft ride, a giant wave pool and a stingray touch pool.
