Located at Gladewater Municipal Airport, the company has been in business for over 13 years and offers both tandem skydiving and individual lessons. Groups of up to 20 are also welcome. When you skydive, you experience the thrill of jumping from over 10,000 feet, free-falling for up to 45 seconds and riding the canopy for five to eight minutes.

Bring out the pirate in yourself and hunt for buried treasure! Geocaching is an activity gaining wide popularity. Similar to treasure hunting, geocachers use GPS technology to locate stashed treasure. East Texas has a number of geocaching clubs, including the Low Tech Team and the Pineywoods Cachers. Hot spots for finding and placing caches are Hugh Camp Memorial Park in Liberty City and Gladewater Lake.

Ziplining is another sport gaining momentum among thrill seekers. A zipline is a pulley suspended on a cable situated in a heavily wooded area. It uses gravity to get the rider to each destination. NY-TX Zipline Adventures is located in New York, Texas--20 miles south of Athens, Texas. The East Texas Hill Country affords patron's views of the lush pines and greenery of the woods. Zipline Adventures offers one and one-half hour tours with 6 ziplines and is a member of the Association for Challenge Course Technology.
