San Antonio is the second largest city in Texas. There is a long list of attractions that cater for adults, but the range of family-friendly destinations makes it ideal for children of all ages. Many hotels offer packages that include entrance or discounts into theme parks and other locations.
Kiddie Park first opened in 1925, making it the oldest amusement park for children in the US. The park maintains 1920s rides that have been upgraded for a modern park, including a carousel with wooden horses dating back to 1918. Children can enjoy riding in miniature versions of a horse drawn carriage, a canal boat, an airplane and a school bus. There is also a mini version of a Ferris wheel.
