Other features include an eating area and snacks. Other features include an outside picnic pavilion and a volleyball court, and there are pitching lanes with adjustable pitching speeds. The center is open year round, but it is only open to the general public Friday through Sunday. From Monday through Thursday, it’s only open by appointment. The center can accommodate birthday parties, but there is a six-person minimum.

The YMCA has a Youth Activity Center for indoor play that includes a Wii, air hockey table, toys, books, computers and games in an area geared toward children ages 7 through 16. Other activities include a swimming pool, preschool gymnastics, cheerleading and sporting activities. Indoor camps are also available to children who wish to learn arts and crafts like making jewelry, creating art from recycled materials, cooking treats and learning improvisational acting. For parents who choose to leave their children, there is a child watch area near the Customer Service Desk. Individuals and families must be members to take advantage of the facilities, but financial assistance is available to those who cannot afford the membership dues.
