Bars Near Archbald, Pennsylvania

Archbald is a borough in Northeastern Pennsylvania in the Blue Ridge Mountain range, around 15 miles north of the city of Scranton. Located 100 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia, it is bisected by the Lackawanna River. It was settled in 1845, mainly by Irish Catholics who were escaping the potato famine in Ireland.

Barrett's is open 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, 11.30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursdays, 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. through 11 p.m. on Sundays. The pub has a game room, and a television that shows sporting events including football, baseball and basketball.

    Bonnie & Clyde's Hideaway

    • Bonnie & Clyde's Hideaway is a restaurant and bar located on Main Street in Eynon, Pennsylvania, two miles west of downtown Archbald. The interior is divided into a bar area and restaurant area, and decorated with dark woods and deep reds to offset the original period cornicing and hardwood floors. Guests can take a seat at the bar or a table in the restaurant. The chef uses fresh ingredients whenever possible to create dishes such as potato encrusted Chilean sea bass and veal saltimbocco. The bar and restaurant are open Monday to Thursday, 4 p.m. to midnight, and Friday to Sunday, 5 p.m. to midnight.

    Starlight Lounge

    • The Starlight Lounge is a bar on Main Street, Archbald with a strong sports theme. The bar has a pool table, dart boards and 20 televisions showing NFL games during football season. The entertainment includes karaoke and a DJ on weekends. The Starlight offers a small bar menu of wings, burgers and pizzas for both lunch and dinner. The owners only accept cash payment and smoking is permitted on the premises. There is ample parking outside.

    Tiffany's Bar and Grill

    • Tiffany's Tap & Grill is located three miles west of Archbald in the nearby town of Eynon. Divided into a bar area and restaurant area, dinner is served daily from 4 p.m. until late. Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with money off mixers, selected wines and draft beers. Open since 1999, Tiffany's was voted the "Best Restaurant" in 2010 by the readers of the Valley Advantage Newspaper. The kitchen sources fresh seafood from New York, Boston, and Philadelphia.
