Ohio has a number of resorts and campgrounds that are predominantly dedicated to guests who are fishing enthusiast, and most can accommodate both shore and boat fishing. Many provide comfortable and cozy cabin accommodations, as well as stores on site that sell bait and fishing supplies, and even boats that are available exclusively for guest use.
Lock 30 Woodlands is a 65-acre campground that offers a combination of cabins, tent sites and RV sites. The cabins are equipped with a kitchen or kitchenette, heating and air conditioning, cable television and Internet access. For fishing enthusiasts, Beaver Creek runs through the campground, which has its own 3 1/2-acre lake that is stocked with fish. Among the fish that are regularly caught in the lake are bluegill, channel catfish, freshwater drum, smallmouth bass, sauger and walleye. Bait and fishing supplies are available at an on-site sore. Cabins are available from $135 per night, as of 2010.

Lake Shawn Fishing and Hunting Cabins offers sport fishing on 30 acres of private lakes. Boats with electric motors are provided, and game fish are aplenty in water reaching a depth of 40 feet. Fish caught in these lakes include crappie, bluegill, smallmouth and largemouth bass, trout and catfish. While boat fishing at night is not permitted, large channel catfish can be caught from the shore at any time. Cabins only can be booked in conjunction with fishing packages, and they include a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. The kitchen is equipped with appliances and cookware, and there is a wood fireplace and television in the living room. Each cabin can accommodate up to seven. Fishing packages, including cabin rental, are available from $425 per night for two guests, in accordance with summer 2010 pricing.

The 60-acre lake at Long Lake Park Campground is stocked with pike, bass, crappie, perch, bluegill and catfish. A fishing license is not required at the park, and bait and boat rentals are available. Guests are welcome to bring their own boats, but gas-powered boats are not allowed on the lake. There are 215 campsites as well as knotty-pine cabins that are equipped with double beds, table, chairs and full-service kitchens. Outside the cabin, there is a picnic table and a grill-top fire ring. Swimming is not permitted in the lake, but an outdoor pool is available to guests. A cabin fishing getaway is available from $150 per night, as of 2010.
