Many of these resorts have classy furnished cabins with complete amenities and nicely decorated furnishings. In addition, they are located in scenic areas near a lot of attractions, yet they're private.

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Ash Grove is on 14 acres of a forested mountaintop with beautiful sights. It has four fully furnished cabins in varying configurations, shaded RV sites and walk-to tent camping. Guests enjoy a hot tub, stone bonfire pit, small playground, badminton and horseshoes, a small stream and waterfall, and a coin laundry. Hiking and biking trails are nearby, as well as golf courses, fishing, shopping, dining and cultural activities. There is free Wi-Fi service in the cabins and near the office.

    Scottish Woods Log Cabin Resort

    • Scottish Woods is a secluded getaway on 26 acres, with luxurious log cabins, nature trails and nearby attractions. Each of the three Scottish-themed cabins are smoke-free and can accommodate up to six persons. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, gas grill, hot tub, fireplace with firewood and fire starter, queen-size beds with linens, blankets and towels.     • Simplicity Springs is a peaceful, private retreat open yearlong. Just four miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, it sits in more than two acres of forest and wetlands on the side of Mt.
