Cat Tales Zoological Training Center in Mead, Washington, offers an opportunity to see big cats up close. The animals at Cat Tales are rescue animals recovered after abandonment or taken from abusive and/or inappropriate domestic situations. Cat Tales is the only zoological training center for big cats in all of North America. The zoo hosts 42 large cats as well as a handful of bears, birds and six domesticated cats, among other rescue animals.

The Seattle Waterfront offers places to eat and drink as well as a variety of attractions for the whole family. The waterfront is home to the Seattle Waterfront Arcade featuring retro favorites such as Defender and Galaga alongside more contemporary favorites such as House of the Dead and Tekken 5. Other attractions on the Seattle Waterfront include the Seattle Aquarium, a recreational marina, cruise tours of the waters around Seattle, and Tillicum Village, a cultural center celebrating the unique identity of Pacific Northwest Native Americans.

The Pacific Science Center offers a number of exhibits of interest to the whole family. Exhibits include mechanical dinosaurs from the Mesozoic Era (including a tour of the inside of the dinosaurs to see how they work), a house for exotic butterflies, oversized robotic insects and arthropods, live animals, the inner workings of the human body, an explanation of how 3-D movies are made and playground that allows children and adults alike to explore the workings of science. The center also includes a planetarium and laser show.

Mobius Kids is a children's museum in Spokane, Washington. Exhibits at the museum expose children to construction by giving them a chance to play with excavation toys and build a large tower out of blocks. The museum also features activities centered on a miniature city, the Earth's ecosystem and the arts. The Enchanted Garden is a place for the smallest children to crawl around and play. The Globe hosts plays and storytellers. Mobius Kids will expand in 2012 with the addition of the Mobius Science Center, for both kids and adults to explore energy, nature, the human body, flight and the universe.
