The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico occurs each October and lasts for nine days. With more than 700 hot air balloons, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is the largest and most photographed hot air balloon event in the world, according to organizers. Special events include the Balloon Glow and the Special Shape Rodeo, featuring balloons in distinctive shapes, such as a cow, motorcycle and piggy bank. In addition, balloon rides and balloon races entertain the crowds. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta provides access to food concessions and souvenir merchandise for guests.
