Asaka is a cozy, family-run restaurant that offers classic Japanese favorites including sushi, hand rolls and sashimi. It is located in a strip mall and has a clean, but nondescript interior. Thanks to an affordable menu and consistently fresh seafood, Asaka is a local favorite in Aventura. Popular dishes include the toro (fatty tuna) hand roll and the Biscaya roll, made from tuna and yellowtail wrapped in rice, then flash fried in a scallion tempura batter.
