    Masa/Bar Masa

    • Sushi and Asian fusion foods are offered at chef Masa Takayama's Michelin three-star Japanese restaurant Masa and next-door at Bar Masa. Very highly regarded, Masa is one of the most expensive restaurants in the world. The $400 omakase menu at Masa consists of exotic, seasonal delicacies such as truffles, Kobe beef, and Japanese fish. The a-la-carte offerings at Bar Masa are less expensive. Bar Masa is more casual and does not require reservations. Décor at Masa is kept simple to focus attention on the flavors and freshness of the food.

    • Chef Michael Lomonaco, formerly of Windows on the World in the World Trade Center, presides over this traditional steakhouse. Open for lunch and dinner, this restaurant is also known for its ultrafresh seafood. Porter House uses premium regional American ingredients, including Maine lobsters, Alaskan salmon, and USDA prime beef. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is warm.
