Sky Meadows State Park is located east of the Blue Ridge Mountains, about a hour north of Washington, D.C. According to the park service, it is located two miles south of Paris, Virginia. The actual park entrance is on State Route 710.
Only primitive camping is allowed at the park. There are 13 campsites available year-round.
There are numerous hiking trails available at the park in addition to access to the Appalachian Trail. There are also trails that lead to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, and Shenandoah National Park.
There is a freshwater pond stocked with largemouth bass, catfish and bluegill for shoreline fishing. There is no boat access at Sky Meadows State Park.
There are several events held at Sky Meadows State Park, including the Delaplane Strawberry Festival. Other events vary depending on the time of year.
The Sky Meadows State Park visitor center is open year-round, although times vary depending on the time of year.
