Birmingham Zoo is a well maintained zoo that has everything from monkeys to zebras and elephants.
Birmingham Botanical Gardens are directly across from the zoo, and there is no fee to enter. There is a Japanese garden. Children will be amazed at the green house that has a jungle theme.
McWane Science Center in downtown Birmingham offers interactive science exhibits, an aquarium and Imax theater.
Talladega Superspeedway is the largest facility in the world, and it's home to the International Motorsports Hall of Fame and Museum.
