Vacuum airplane carpet after each flight.
Vacuum carefully under each seat. Use a nozzle attachment to clean the corners where debris can accumulate.
Remove vacuum bag immediately after vacuuming to avoid future contamination.
Dab all wet stains with a clean cloth immediately.
Dampen a clean cloth with seltzer and apply to stain.
Put on rubber gloves and spray with stain remover that your carpet company recommends when all air travelers have exited the plane.
Rinse with a damp cloth after letting the stain sit for five minutes. Rinse more aggressive stains after 10 minutes.
Fill tank with the appropriate amount of water according to directions.
Add disinfectant solution in accordance with your machine to kill any bacteria.
Roll steam cleaner across all carpeted areas.
Allow two to three hours for carpet to dry fully.
