How to Clean a Camper Roof

Cleaning your camper's roof can make the difference between a damaged, dirty roof and an overall shiny camper. Leaving accumulated debris on your camper's roof can add stains, or even mold, to your camper. Cleaning the roof of your camper will require tools that have a long reach and cleaning solutions that clean but do not damage the camper. Instructions

    • 1

Pour warm water and dish soap into a medium sized bucket, and then place a bristle brush with a long handle into the solution.

    • 2

Use a broom to sweep the leaves and other debris off the camper roof.

    • 3

Scrub the roof and awning with the water and soap solution carefully. Scrubbing the awning too hard may damage the roof or awning.

    • 4

Turn on and use a power washer. Adjust the power of the washer to a medium setting and spray away the soap and other debris that the brush picked up. Washing at a high power setting can damage the roof.

    • 5

Use a sealant to protect the roof and awning from future damage. Spray an even coat on the roof and awning and let it settle and dry.
