JetBlue Baggage Limits

Between carry-on item sizes, checked item size and weight limits, fees and quantity restrictions, all of which vary from airline to airline, airline baggage limits can be very confusing. It is important to know your airline's baggage limits ahead of time to avoid overweight or oversize fees. JetBlue Airways' baggage limits are valid as of October 2010 and are subject to change at the airline's discretion.
  1. Checked Items

    • JetBlue Airways' passengers are each allowed one checked bag free of charge. The bag must be 50 lbs. or less and 62 combined inches in overall dimensions. There is a $30 fee for a second checked bag, and every additional checked bag costs a $75 fee.

    Carry-On Items

    • Passengers are each allowed one carry-on bag and one personal item, usually a purse, laptop or briefcase, free of charge. Your personal item must fit underneath the seat in front of you, and must be 17" long x 12.5" wide x 8" tall or smaller. Your carry-on item must fit in the overhead bin; for Airbus A320 passengers the item must be 26" long x 18" wide x 12" tall or smaller and for EMBRAER 190 passengers the item must be 24" long x 16" wide x 10" tall or smaller.

    Overweight and Oversized Fees

    • The fee for checked baggage weighing between 51 lbs. and 70 lbs. is $50 per bag, and $100 per bag for baggage weighing between 71 lbs. and 99 lbs. Bags over 99 lbs are not permitted. The fee for checked baggage between 63 inches and 80 inches is $75. Bags over 80" are not permitted.
