Select the Hawaiian airport you want to fly into. As of September 2010, Hawaii has six airports: Hilo Inernational Airport; Honolulu International Airport; Kahului Airport; Kona International Airport at Keahole; Lihue Airport; and Molokai Airport. Honolulu is Hawaii's major airport and selecting it will increase your flight options.
Select the airline you would like to travel on. The airport you selected will affect your airline decision, as all airlines do not fly to all airports in Hawaii. As of September 2010, eight airlines provided flights from the United States to Hawaii: United Airlines; Northwest Airlines; Alaska Airlines; American Airlines; Continental Airlines; Delta Airlines; and Hawaiian Airlines.
Access your selected airline's website and the site's Reservations link.
Enter your departure and arrival information into the Reservation system. This includes: your departure and arrival cities; date and preferred time of departure and return; the number of passengers; and cabin preference.
Select Continue after entering the flight information.
Review the list of available flights. Examine the departure and arrival time, number of stops, seat options and price to find the flight that best suits your needs and preferences. Select the flight you wish to book.
Depending on the airline, you may have to select your departure and return flights individually. If this is the case, follow the same procedure when making each selection.
Review your trip summary and verify the information for accuracy. Make sure the flight information and the total price is correct. Select Purchase to continue with your booking.
Enter the passenger information for your ticket. This includes the first and last name and telephone number.
Enter the form of payment for your ticket. This includes the payment type, account owner's first and last name, credit card number, expiration date and billing address. Additionally, select yes or no to the trip insurance option.
Select Purchase to complete your booking .
Review the details of your purchased flight. Record the confirmation number and print the confirmation page for your records.
