Flying into Key West International Airport

The southernmost airport in the United States, Key West International Airport underwent a renovation that doubled its size in 2009 to accommodate the influx of tourist traffic to the Florida Keys. The airport is serviced by a few major carriers, and you'll have a few transportation options once you arrive.

  1. Airline Options

    • Only a handful of airlines fly into Key West, with most flights originating from Miami or Tampa. Major carriers include Delta, Southwest and US Airways. Smaller carriers American Eagle, Cape Air and Silver Airways also offer some flights into Key West.

Airport Shuttle Service and Car Rentals

    • From this airport, you can use the 12-passenger van shuttle service to get to other locations in the Florida Keys, such as Key Largo, Marothon and Islamorada. You can also travel to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale via this option. Several major car rental agencies have off-site locations near the airport as well, including Dollar, Budget, Avis, Enterprise, Hertz and Thrifty.
