Southwest Airlines Fun Fares were a discounted advance one-way ticket to or from any of the company's destinations. This ticketing designation was replaced with "Wanna Get Away" fares.

    Rules

    • Fun Fares were subject to a 21-day advance purchase and were nonrefundable.

    Current Offering

    • Wanna Get Away web-only fares replaced Fun Fares and are subject to a 14-day advance purchase, transferable at 100 percent value for up to 12 months, but remain nonrefundable.

    • These web-only fares are available for purchase only Southwest Airlines website, www.southwest.com. The airline also offers Ding!, a desktop computer fare search utility for Windows and Mac OS X that displays regional sales and discounts.

    Rewards

    • Wanna Get Away fares are eligible for Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards program credits at the rate of 1 point per one-way ticket.
