Airports in the Bay Area of California

The Bay Area is the metropolitan region in the north of California that includes San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose, as well as Marin, Napa, Sonoma, Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Three international airports serve this busy area.
  1. San Francisco International Airport

    • San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is one of the world's 30 busiest airports, serving tens of millions of travelers each year. Not only is it the largest airport in the region, it is connected to San Francisco, Berkeley and Oakland by the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system, which makes it easy for travels with layovers to take in some sights before their next flight.
