How to Tilt a Boat
Tilting your boat correctly can be a life-saver to your engine. When your boat enters shallow waters your engine has nowhere to go but up. The proper tilt of your boat reduces damage to the motor and undercarriage. The engine of the boat is what really tilts, and it causes a slight angle difference inside the craft. All motors have a tilt option engineered into their construction. Tilting a boat is also a good idea when going through thick weeds or over rocky bottoms.
