Hop-On/Hop-Off Bus Tours of Dublin

Dublin, Ireland, is a conveniently compact city with many of its highlights within comfortable walking distance of one another, but if you are hoping to get an overall feel for the city, then a hop-on/hop-off bus tour is a vital part of any visitor's itinerary. Fortunately, Dublin has a healthy selection of tours to choose from, all of which provide comprehensive insights into the city and many of which are often accompanied by humorous commentaries and even the odd song or two. All tours last around 90 minutes and stop at Dublin's major attractions.
  1. City Sightseeing

    • Pints of Guinness, Ireland's famous brew.

The ubiquitous red, open-top buses of the City Sightseeing line provide two routes and a live guide or multilingual commentary (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian and Japanese), as well as a special kid's commentary. Tickets can be purchased on board and the bus allows you to hop on or off at 25 points throughout Dublin, including the Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol and Phoenix Park, for those who wish to visit the Dublin Zoo or the Irish President's Residence. Buses run every eight to 15 minutes and tickets are valid for 24 hours.
