Decide on your outing. You want the bus trip to be a successful event and very desirable to the people joining you.
Create a list of the people that you want to invite to attend the bus trip event.
Send out an informational flyer or email to all of the guests to see if the interest level is high. If so, plan your bus trip keeping in mind the number of guests interested in the outing.
Contact your local bus companies. If the destination is only an hour away, it is wise to get a school bus company to lower the costs. If the outing is further away, get in touch with the larger bus companies and compare prices.
Sign a contract with the bus company and give a deposit to hold the bus for your outing.
Plan your itinerary. Once your itinerary is finalized, send out a sign up sheet to the interested guests. Include how much the trip is per person, where to meet, what time the bus is departing, what the bus trip is all about and the arrival time. Request the money ahead of time.
Confirm with the bus company a week before and the day before the bus trip. Send out a simple reminder to the guests coming on the bus trip with you.
