Smoking is not permitted in most Carnival ships' interior public areas, including the library and some lounges. Spa-category staterooms and suites are also smoke free.
Carnival's ships offer smoking areas in the casinos, most bars and lounges including dedicated cigar bars and discos. Guests are also permitted to smoke inside their staterooms and on balconies. Outside, smoking is permitted in designated deck areas including the outdoor portion of the Lido cafe.
Carnival's cruise contract states that guests who fail to comply with the smoking policy may be forced to disembark at any port and would be responsible for their own transportation home. Carnival may also charge a $250 damage fee to the guest's onboard account. Additionally, guests found smoking in Spa staterooms may be moved to a non-Spa room.
