Whether you have a relative that is out to sea on a cruise, or you are a nautical enthusiast, tracking cruise chips via the Internet is a simple process. Using an online tool coupled with the general location of the ship (what part of the world), you can up-load not only the current location of the ship, but the history of its travel path as well.

Connect to the sailwx.info website. Here, you will see a map of the entire world. You will need to know the general part of the world where your ship is sailing along with the name of the ship. All of the colored dots on the map refer to cruise ships, while the numbers are buoys.

Click anywhere on the map in the general area where your ship is sailing. The map will zoom in on that area and a list of ships will appear at the bottom of the screen.

Click on the name of your ship from the list at the bottom of the screen. If you do not see your ship on the list, click the back button and refine your search area on the World map. Once you click on your ship a new map will appear, showing the ship's current location as well as its travel history over the last 240 hours.
