How Big Is a Carnival Cruise Ship?

  1. Gross Tonnage and Length

    • Carnival's ships vary in size, with its eight smallest ships in the 70,000-ton range and measuring 855 feet long. Of the remaining fleet, four Carnival ships weigh 88,500 tons and are 960 feet long, three ships weigh between 100,000 and 102,000 tons and are approximately 890 feet long, and six ships weigh between 110,000 and 113,000 tons and are approximately 950 feet long. Carnival's two largest ships weigh 130,000 tons and are more than 1,000 feet long.

    Passenger Capacity

    • The Fun Ships of Carnival can carry at least 2,050 passengers on every voyage. The fleet has eight ships with a maximum passenger capacity of approximately 2,050, four ships with 2,124, three ships with between 2,642 and 2,758, six ships with between 2,974 and 3,006, and two with more than 3,600.

    Decks and Staterooms

    • Twelve of Carnival's ships have approximately 1,000 guest staterooms and either 10 or 12 guest decks, three ships have 12 decks with 1,300 staterooms, six have approximately 1,500 rooms and 13 decks and two of Carnival's ships have 1,823 staterooms and 13 guest decks.
