Transatlantic Cruises to Italy

Although there are no direct transatlantic cruises from the United States to Italy, it is possible to travel to Italy by cruise ship. Each spring, many cruise ships are repositioned from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean, and these "repositioning cruises" allow passengers to travel from the United States to ports in Italy. Those unable to travel in the spring can take a cruise ship to another European port and then fly or take a train to Italy, or they can take an around-the-world cruise that leaves from the United States and travels across the Pacific to the Mediterranean and Italy.
