World Yacht passengers sail past classic New York City landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty, Chrysler Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Greenwich Village and the United Nations. Guests may choose from three boats: Duchess, Princess, and Destiny. The sailing vessels contain upper and lower desks, meeting rooms, dance floors and sun decks. The ships hold as many as 500 guests during a classic three-hour cruise.
New York Chef Denis Weekes offers a dining menu that benefits from his 25 years of culinary expertise, blending city staples with international cuisine. Dishes are made from local ingredients and those delivered from Pennsylvania's Amish farms. Appetizers range from Maryland-style crab cakes to sturgeon caviar. Guests may pair a pumpkin ravioli entree with seasonal vegetables and rock lobster. A selection of loose leaf teas are available. Sunday brunch--accompanied by piano music-- features a buffet with a variety of breads, fish, omelets and juices.
An eclectic assortment of live musicians and disc jockeys play music while guests grace the dance floor. World Yacht offers several events during the year. Special holidays include Independence Day, Mother's Day, New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day. Guests can view the Manhattan fireworks display over the Statue of Liberty on the Fourth of July, and on New Year's Eve guests set sail for midnight champagne toasts, a five-course dinner and an open bar.
