    • Carnival Cruise Lines owns a private island in the Bahamas called Half Moon Cay. Half Moon Cay is a 55-acre parcel of land on Little San Salvador Island. Only 2 percent of Little San Salvador Island is developed and Half Moon Cay is a bird sanctuary.

    Function

    • Half Moon Cay only accommodates one Carnival Cruise ship per day, meaning that there are no crowds. The staff aboard your Carnival Cruise disembarks, taking supplies with them onto the island for a barbecue lunch and to serve beverages to passengers all day long.

    Benefits

    • Half Moon Cay features private cabanas for guests. Each cabana is air conditioned and features a fridge, snacks and beverages. Your Carnival Cruise bartenders will serve you all day long inside your cabana or as you play on the island. Also provided on Half Moon Cay are lounge chairs and side tables for you to lay in the sun or store your belongings while you swim.

    Excursions

    • Water excursions on Half Moon Cay include a sting ray encounter, a glass bottom boat ride and deep sea fishing. On the sting ray encounter you take a tram to sting ray cove, where you snorkel with the sting rays while being able to touch them and feed them. The glass bottom boat tour takes guests on a ride around Half Moon Cay where they will see down into the crystal clear water all of the sea creatures that make their home along Half Moon Cay. Deep sea fishing excursions take guests out on a boat away from Half Moon Cay where they will cast their lines and wait for a bite. Jet ski and kayak rentals are also available.

    Amenities

    • Featured on Half Moon Cay is a water park for the enjoyment of guests. The water park features 21 water toys shaped like marine animals for you to climb on. There are floating pads available for sunbathing or relaxing and a water slide for you to make your trip into the ocean. The water park also features a pirate ship where other guests will shoot you through water guns while you play in the water park.
