    • Emerald Star offers boats for rent for self-guided cruises down the River Shannon. The type and size of boat you will cruise in is determined by the number of people in your party. Cruises depart from Portumna, Carrick-on-Shannon or Belturbet and boats are rented for a week at a time. Rental rates include a fully-equipped galley, linens and towels for everyone on board, boating demonstration and technical support while on your cruise.

    • Canalways Ireland offers visitors an opportunity to cruise Ireland's canals in traditional steel canal boats. Based out of County Kildare, Canalways Ireland offers boats to suit two, four, six or eight passengers. At an average speed of less then 5 miles an hour, you can take a leisurely stroll down the canals making stops at local villages and tourist sights. All instruction necessary to operate the boat is included in the rental rate. Rates are by the week and include tolls, linens, gas and towels.
