Ship Cruises From Miami

Miami is the busiest seaport in the world, according to Frommer's, with approximately three million travelers passing through annually. As a result, Miami is referred to as the "Cruise Capital of the World." Most cruises that sail in and around the Caribbean Sea depart from the Port of Miami. This port is within 10 minutes' distance from the city's downtown area, making it convenient for passengers to find accommodations before their cruise departs.

    • The Carnival Imagination only sails out of Miami to destinations throughout the Caribbean and Bahamas. This ship offers amenities, such as a mini-golf course, an art gallery, dance and music entertainment, and Serenity, an adult-only deck that features a bar and sun deck. Children will enjoy Carnival Imagination's on-board water park, Carnival WaterWorks, which features a twister water slide and spray fountain. Each of the rooms and suites includes a flat-screen television and work desk. Some rooms have a private balcony that overlooks the sea, as well as a living room area. As of spring 2010, Carnival Imagination offers a four-day Western Caribbean tour that travels to Cozumel and Key West, as well as a three-day tour to the Bahamas. These trips occur throughout the year.

    Norwegian Pearl

    • The Norwegian Pearl offers travelers to Miami an option of round-trip vacations throughout the Western and Eastern Caribbean Sea. As of spring 2010, the Norwegian Pearl features seven-day trips that sail to Caribbean ports, including Belize City, Key West, St. Thomas, Cozumel and Grand Cayman Islands. Two-day cruises to the Bahamas also is an option on the Norwegian Pearl. These trips occur from October through April. Norwegian Pearl features two swimming pools, a theatrical entertainment venue and 16 dining establishments, including the Cagney's Steakhouse, and the Lotus Garden Asian restaurant. Gaming opportunities are available at the ship's casino. Amenities for the ship's suites include a private balcony, king-sized or queen-sized bed and a living room area. The Garden Villas have up to three bedrooms.

    Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas

    • Exclusive to the Port of Miami, Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas is a Sovereign Class ship that sails to the Bahamas and provides amenities, including an exercise center, rock-climbing facilities, two outdoor swimming pools and whirlpools, and on-site restaurants, including Johnny Rocket's and Sorrento's Pizza. Casino Royale, the on-board casino, offers chances for gambling. The ship also offers a conference center for seminars and meetings. Each room and suite includes a private bathroom and television. Some rooms have a private balcony and living room area. As of spring 2010, Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas offers three-day and four-day trips to ports in the Bahamas, including Nassau and Cococay. In certain vacation packages, the ship will port in Key West. These cruises are offered throughout the year.
