Cruises Departing New York

In January 2009, New York City completed upgrading its Manhattan Cruise Terminal, and in 2006, a $250 million cruise terminal opened in Brooklyn, providing substantial opportunities for cruise ship lines to utilize New York as a departure city. With destinations such as New England, Canada, Europe, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexico and Panama, cruise opportunities abound from America's largest city.
  1. Cunard Cruise Line

    • The Queen Mary 2 (QM2), considered Cunard's flagship of luxury and opulence, is the only ship regularly making transatlantic trips. Departing from Brooklyn's cruise terminal, the QM2 has itineraries that include six-day transatlantic voyage to Southampton, England, 24-day European port calls, and a 108-day world voyage from New York to Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, South America and back to New York. In the fall, the QM2 has departures for New England and Canada, popular cruise destinations this time of year.
