Norwegian Cruise Lines, also known as NCL, has a seven-day cruise out of New Orleans with Mexico as the first and last ports of call. The cruise ship, the Norwegian Spirit, stops first at Costa Maya, an area south of Cancun on the border with Belize, then at Santo Tomas de Castillo, a port city in Guatemala settled by Belgian pioneers in the 19th century, with ruins of the ancient Mayan civilization nearby. The cruise continues to Belize City before the last stop, back in Mexico at Cozumel. The ship spends less than a day in each port.
