Night Cruises in New York

Seen from the waters of the Hudson or East Rivers, the island of Manhattan is a sight to behold. Possibly the best time to view Manhattan from the water is at night, when the glittering lights of the skyline will impress even the well-traveled tourist. And thanks to dozens of cruise companies, you have your pick of evening cruises around Manhattan.
  1. The Circle Line Harbor Cruise

    • Circle Line cruises always pass the Statue of Liberty.

Boats take the same route as the regular two-hour cruise, but the evening ride is seasonal, running from March through November. The Harbor Lights Cruise leaves from Pier 83, at 42nd Street, at 7 p.m. and offers beverages, including wine and beer and cocktails, and snack foods. Tickets are $25 for adults, $14 for children, and $21 for senior citizens.
