Vampire is a suspended looping coaster located at Chessington World of Adventures Resort in Chessington, Greater London, England, United Kingdom. Manufactured by Arrow Dynamics, it opened in 1990 and was the first suspended coaster in the United Kingdom. The ride's theme is based on vampires and features a variety of special effects, including fog machines, strobe lights, and a vampire-themed soundtrack.
Vampire has a maximum height of 25 metres (82 ft), a track length of 750 metres (2,461 ft), and a maximum speed of 55 mph (89 km/h). The ride features five inversions: a vertical loop, a corkscrew, a zero-g roll, and two downward spirals.
Vampire is one of the most popular rides at Chessington World of Adventures Resort and is often referred to as one of the scariest rides in the park. It has been voted as one of the best roller coasters in the UK by several publications.
