What is the bridge hold?

The bridge hold is a yoga and Pilates pose in which the body forms an inverted V shape, with the feet, hands and head pressing against the ground. It is an intense yet effective exercise that strengthens and stretches the core, back, shoulders, and hamstrings. To perform the bridge hold, lie face up with the knees bent and the feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Press down into the hands to lift the hips and form a straight line from the shoulders to the knees.
