Why was geb a green god?

There is no evidence to suggest that Geb was a "green god". Geb is commonly depicted in Egyptian art as a male deity with blue or green skin, but this does not mean that he was considered to be a "green god". The colors used in Egyptian art were often symbolic and had specific meanings, but these meanings are not always fully understood.
