- Also called low fusing compound or pressure indicating paste.
- Used to record occlusal contacts with the articulator when mounting models.
- Made of resins, waxes and fats together with a dye colouring matter.
- Softened by gentle flame but not allowed to melt.
- Available in sticks form of various colours.
- Softening point ranges from 45-65 degree Celsius.
- Placed between the occluding surfaces of the models which are placed in the articulator.
- Marks record the occlusal contacts.
