How to Ship Lots of DVDs at the Post Office

The United States Postal Service allows you to ship virtually any item you want to ship as long as it is not dangerous in any way, and shipping rates depend on the size of your shipment, the type of delivery method you choose and whether you choose additional shipping features, such as proof of delivery or insurance. If you want to ship a package full of DVDs the post office will allow you to do so.

Instructions

    • 1

Package your DVDs in a box large enough to hold them all. If you don't have a box that fits your DVD shipment you can purchase one at your local post office when you go.

    • 2

Visit your local post office to ship your DVDs. If you haven't already placed your shipment in a box purchase one the correct size from the post office and pack your DVDs in the box.

    • 3

Place your name and return address on the upper left corner of the top of your box of DVDs. Write the delivery address and the name of the recipient in the center of the top of the box.

    • 4

Pay for your shipping. A postal employee will measure and weigh your shipment, ask if you'd like insurance or any proof of delivery and provide a total amount due for your shipment, which can be paid by credit card, cash or check. The post office will then take your box for shipment.
