The Seattle Department of Transportation created a transit program to promote walking, biking and riding public transit as primary methods of getting around the Seattle, Washington area.
  1. Buses

    • Seattle provides bus transportation throughout the city. If you wish to utilize bus transportation but live in the Seattle suburbs, you can take advantage of park and ride centers. Park and ride centers allow you to park your car and ride the bus into the city.

    Streetcar

    • Seattle offers a streetcar as a public transportation option in the downtown area. The streetcar makes 11 stops and travels along Westlake Avenue to Fairview Avenue North.

    Monorail

    • The city's monorail system can be reached from the bus line. The monorail system runs from Westlake Hub to Seattle Center.
