What is the maximum trailer axle weight allowed in UK?

In the UK the maximum weight allowed on a single axle, whether part of a trailer or the towed vehicle, is 10 tonnes. The gross train weight (the combined weight of the towing vehicle and the trailer) must not exceed 32 tonnes, and the maximum laden weight of any rigid vehicle and its trailer must not exceed 44 tonnes.
