Go to the GSA auction home page. Click the register box on the far right side of the navigation bar.
Select a username and password for your communication with GSA auctions. Check whether you are bidding as an individual or on behalf of a company. If you choose to do both, you must register twice; once as an individual and once as a company. Choose a security question and answer.
Read the conditions required by the federal government for bidding on the GSA auction items. Click the accept box on the lower right corner if you will comply with the GSA requirements. Finish the registration process by filling out two more sections. Provide your address and social security number if you are an individual or your employer identification number if you are registering for a company. Provide day time and evening phone numbers in the contact information section.
Browse the GSA auction site for available used FEMA trailers. GSA has a search by state process that helps you choose units within your geographic region. They typically have pictures and also advise the potential buyer to make an in-person inspection of the item to inform themselves of the true condition of the unit they want to buy.
When you have chosen which unit you want to buy go to the auction bar on the GSA web site. There you will find the current high bid, the number of bidders and the time the auction will close. Click on the bid button.
Place your bid. The bid page may specify a minimum bid required and if you are the first you may want to enter only the minimum.
If you win the auction, pay for the used FEMA mobile home with your credit card. This is one of the conditions required by GSA for participating in the online auction.
Make arrangements to move your home within the required time limit to the site of your choice.
