There are travel trailer dealers across the country that will rent you an RV. If you are in the market for an RV, particularly if it is the first time, it's preferable to rent one to determine if you like the lifestyle and to help you find out what type of motor home is best suited to you. Rent a motor home for a weekend or for an extended trip.
Motor homes come in a myriad of shapes and sizes and they are made by more than 50 manufacturers. Motor homes fall into seven basic categories. Class A motor homes are built on a modified chassis, have a place for a driver and come with many of the conveniences of your actual home because they are large and often luxurious. Class C motor homes are smaller versions of those considered Class A and also have a space for a driver and passenger. A truck camper is fitted onto a pickup truck and is appropriate for a weekend getaway or for hauling materials. Then there are pop-up trailers you can tow. They are light units with collapsible walls for storage and contain many of the comforts of home. Fifth wheels attach to the bed of a pickup truck and provide the most comforts among units that are towed.
