What is the oil cooler flow direction on a 727 transmission?

The oil cooler flow direction for a 727 transmission is in parallel with the main transmission cooling system. The fluid exits the cooler and goes directly back to the transmission pan (or sump). The fluid does not go through the transmission, but instead flows around it.
