Is there any cng filling station at bihar?

As of my last update in August 2022, there were no operational CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) filling stations in Bihar. However, several efforts have been made to introduce CNG as a fuel option in the state. Here's an update on the status as of now:

1. CNG Plant in Barauni: In 2018, the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) initiated the construction of a CNG plant in Barauni. The project aimed to produce CNG from the natural gas available at the Barauni refinery. The plant was initially expected to become operational in 2020, but faced delays. As per recent reports, the CNG plant in Barauni is nearing completion and is expected to start functioning soon.

2. CNG Stations in Patna: In July 2021, the Bihar State Gas Company (BSGCL) announced plans to set up CNG filling stations in Patna, the capital city of Bihar. The company signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with GAIL (India) Limited to establish a City Gas Distribution (CGD) network in various districts, including Patna. According to BSGCL, the CNG stations in Patna are expected to become operational by the end of 2023 or early 2024.

3. CNG Stations in Other Cities: While the main focus has been on setting up CNG infrastructure in Patna, there have been discussions about extending the CNG network to other cities in Bihar as well. Potential cities include Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, and Darbhanga. The specific timeline for establishing CNG stations in these cities has not yet been announced.
