Who makes up the regents in new york?

The Board of Regents is the governing body of the University of the State of New York (USNY). The Board is composed of 17 members, including the Chancellor of the USNY, who serves as the Board's chair, and 16 other members appointed by the Governor of New York with the advice and consent of the New York State Senate. The members of the Board serve for a term of seven years and may not serve more than two consecutive terms.
