Log on to Orbitz's website. Click "Low Price Guarantee" at the bottom of their homepage. Read the terms and conditions of the guarantee carefully.
Determine if your purchase meets the guidelines as they are outlined in the terms in conditions. Ask yourself every question as it is outlined, insuring eligibility, to receive the difference in pricing as outlined in their agreement. Answering "yes" to each caveat prior to contacting Orbitz will allow you to solidify your case. Answering "no" to any of requirements will deem you ineligible.
Submit the claim through the website. Follow up with a phone call within 48 hours. Ask the agent on the phone if there is any additional information Orbitz will need to qualify your claim. Request a time period that the claim will be honored.
Contact Orbitz immediately if the time between claim submission and resolve lapses. Orbitz requires the purchaser to do the majority of the work, so if your claim is submitted, and is missing any information they might need, it is up to you to follow up. You will not be contacted by Orbitz to submit the information. Receiving the difference in the price-match guarantee will take time and effort on the part of the purchasing party, but the terms are very clear. If you fall within them, you are entitled to the refund, and Orbitz will not put up a fight in providing the difference.
